Stewardship

.....you sent me aid again and again when I was in need.
                                                                                                 Philippians 4:16

We believe that stewardship has many facets. Stewardship of our funds is vital to the growth of WPC. But good stewardship of our time and talents is equally important, not only to WPC but to our members as individuals.

Each member of our church family, through their voluntary pledge on Stewardship Sunday in the Fall, supports the work and ministry of the church. The monies we receive enable us to maintain our attractive facility and to carry out our excellent and well-rounded program of worship, pastoral care, Christian education and nurturing for all of our members. Our outreaching mission projects are an important part of our ministry of love and concern for all of God's children. We support the mission program of The Presbyterian Church (USA), and a variety of local, national and international programs that are designed to meet the needs of the poor, the ill, the homeless, the hungry and the elderly as well as young people, worldwide.

Every year, we have a special Time and Talent stewardship drive in the Spring. At this time, all of our members, young and old, are encouraged to pledge some portion of their time and talents to the work of the church. An important aspect of this program fosters their involvement in activities that are new and different for them.
